Dr. Marcus Dunn is passionate about helping people live their full potential through Chiropractic.
Dr. Dunn first became aware of Chiropractic while studying Secondary Education (Chemistry and Physics) at West Virginia University. Like many Chiropractic patients, he first sought care for a stiff neck. Little did he know that that stiff neck would forever alter the course of his life. The Chiropractor he want to see did a typical Chiropractic exam and explained to him what the cause of his problem was (subluxation) and gave him an estimate of how long it would take to restore movement and relieve his symptoms. Fortunately, he also explained the BIG idea of Chiropractic and how it could also help with the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome and allergies that Dr. Dunn had been dealing with for years despite the best in medical care. With the help of Chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Dunn’s neck was feeling better quickly. The IBS and allergies took a bit longer, but soon resolved also. It was at that point that Dr. Dunn knew that helping people through Chiropractic was what he was meant to do.
Dr. Dunn continued his education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He returned to West Virginia after graduation where he owned and operated a successful practice for over 10 years.
In 2001 Dr. Dunn and his family relocated to Des Moines, Iowa where he again owned and operated a successful practice for 10 years before relocating to Charlotte. He is pleased to call North Carolina home now and is active in a number of civic groups. He also enjoys working with businesses and community groups by participating in health fairs, doing health screenings and presenting on a variety of topics to help people learn how to live healthier, happier lives.
Dr. Dunn continually strives to increase his knowledge and improve his skills by attending a number of seminars on a variety of topics. He maintains licensure in North Carolina, Iowa and West Virginia.
In addition to his passion for Chiropractic, Dr. Dunn is an avid runner. He has completed numerous races of varying distances but finds marathons to be his favorite. He has completed 8 marathons to date, including the 2013 Boston Marathon.
